The first part of the trail through the forest is cleared and marked. From the lake at elevation 476 m, follow the hillside up to the shoulder between Grønnfjellet and Blåfjellet; from there the trail to the summit is marked with cairns.

You can also reach Blåfjellet summit in the winter, but you need to start from Vestersidevegen road.

How to get here

From Trofors, drive south on Vestersidevegen road, following the sign towards Stavassdal, which means turning westward after 5.5 km, and then driving another 6 km. If you are approaching by driving on highway E6, take the turnoff in Svenningdal to Strendene, and follow the signs towards Stavassdal for 8.2 km, then turn west and continue for 6 km. There is plenty of parking.

NB! The road is not suitable for caravans or campers!

How to get here by public transportation

Take the train or bus to Trofors, and walk for 8 km along Gamle Stavassveg to Stavassdalen.
