A hike up Andalshatten
This peak offers a magnificent view of the Helgeland coast!
Andalshatten, on the border between Vevelstad and Brønnøy municipalities, can be reached from both north and south – but in either case a boat is required!
It is easiest to approach Andalshatten from the south, going to Okneset by boat. The trail, which is not well-marked, starts out on what were once cultivated fields and soon crosses bare rock. Follow the ridge to the summit.
The trail from the north it is partially marked. It starts by ascending rather steeply through lush birch woods. After clearing the woods, the trail levels off somewhat.
How to get here
By private boat to Okneset in Brønnøy if you approach from the south, or to Tindeelva in Vevelstad if you are coming from the north.
