Start from the large parking lot at Tosfjellet, situated 1 km east of the Tosen Tunnel. The first part of your hike is a long climb up Vesterfjellet, after which the terrain is more relaxed. First head for the southeast shore of the tarn at elevation 716 metres. The passage at the tarn on eleveation 716 metres can be tricky early season due to lot of snow. From the tarn you continue north along the east side of Nedre Jordbruvatnet and Øvre Jordbruvatnet lakes. Your destination, Elgvidda (Moose Meadow), is situated on the southwester shore of Elgviddvatnet. Please note: your hiking route has no trails and there are no cairn markers, except for some scattered cairns east of the river that flows from Nedre Jorbruvatnet.
How to get here
There is a large parking area at Tosfjellet, 1 km east of the tunnel and 14 km from highway E6 at Brenna, taking the turnoff towards Brønnøysund. The parking area is also situated 73 km from the Coastal Highway, taking the turnoff towards Mosjøen at Skillebotn.

You can take a bus from Brønnøysund or Trofors.
