From the Sámi turf hut by Nedre Breivatn lake, there is a route past the tarn at 310 metres elevation down to Lomtjønnan, marked by occasional cairns. Northwest of these tarns, the trail joins the cairn-marked trail from Strompdalen. From elevations 308–318 metres there are several descents, but the vegetation is thicker and the trail through the valley is steeper from Medheia. A good choice is to keep following your elevation along Middagsfjellet, and then descend along the ridge north of Medheie. That route passes a monument to the Sámi reindeer herder, Jåårke (Georg) Kvitfjell. From the monument you have an incredible view over the valley where his reindeer often grazed.
