When Breivasselva is high with meltwater or after heavy rains, it may be too difficult to wade across the river. In such conditions, on your way from the Bjønnstokkvatnan lakes, you must opt for the route east of Nedre (lower) Breivatn! However, this route has neither trail nor cairn markers.

From the Midtre (middle) Breivatn, walk east until reaching elevation 445 metres, and then set a course down to the Nedre Breivatn lake. You may see signs of other hikers having walked here before you, but there is no continuous trail.
